Rick Dangerous 2
Developed by:
Rebellion (Derby) Ltd
Core Design was a British video game development studio based in the city of Derby. It was founded in 1988 by Jeremy Heath-Smith and several former employees of Gremlin Graphics. At the end of 1994 Core was acquired by the CentreGold group, comprising the publisher US Gold and distributor CentreSoft. CentreGold agreed however, that Core should be left alone to operate autonomously. The studio was acquired by Eidos in 1996.
The studio's first game was Rick Dangerous (1989). Core Design was most known for developing the Tomb Raider games until Eidos moved the development of further installments to Crystal Dynamics in 2003. Most key members of Core left the studio shortly thereafter. On 11 May 2006 it was announced that Core's assets and staff were sold to independent development group Rebellion.

Description
Our intrepid adventurer and all-round super-hero saved the world once from the wicked
ways of the Fat Man, leaving the overweight ogre tied to a stake and held by the Goolus.
But fortune has smiled on Rick's enemy, and a strange alien race has befriended him.
Now the threat to the world is twice as great. Rick's called back to action - in a Flash.
Rick Dangerous II is the ultimate platform poser, packed with puzzles and teeming with
traps. Pick up and play. And play. And play
Starting in the Flying Saucer which has landed in Hyde Park, shooting off to the planet
Barf with its ice kingdoms and mud mines, before finally coming face to face with the
Fat Man in his headquarters, Rick endures screen after screen of heart pumping action
and desth defying thrills.
Rick is equipped with...
Electronic Detonators - These may be dropped in order to trigger traps, blow away walls,
enemies and generally do lots of damage, allowing our hero to continue his quest.
Being very dangerous, Rick must get away from them if he is to avoid being blown up.
These have the added advantage of being able to be slid by Rick across the floor and over ledges.
The big punch - Rick has his two fists, guaranteed to momentarily stun any enemy. He can
also punch switches on walls to trigger lifts, open trap doors and switch off lasers.
Traps - To avoid traps be resourceful. Teh traps are devious. Rick may need a punch, ray
gun, electronic detonator or simply his wits to survive, depending on the nature of the
trap. There are no instructions as to how each trap is triggered or avoided so be careful
and think ahead. Things are not always as they seem..
