ROCK MAN DIRECTIONS
_______________________
OBJECTIVE
The objective of Rock Man is to collect all the Pink Moths
located in each puzzle. Once gathered, Rock Man must then
reach the Red Flag to solve the puzzle.
SELECTING PUZZLE
Select a puzzle room by pressing the <N>ew Puzzle key. Using
your <Arrow Keys>, select the puzzle you want and then press
the <Enter> key to load that puzzle onto the game board.
GAME PLAY
When the puzzle is loaded you move Rock Man by using the
<Arrow Keys>. Rock Man can jump up only one rock at a time,
so you will have to use your ingenuity to make it possible for
him to capture all the rare moths scattered around the puzzle.
Once collected the Blue Flag located somewhere in the puzzle
will turn to Red. This means that Rock Man must somehow reach
the Red Flag in order to consider the puzzle solved.
OBJECTS
Green Rocks: Rock Man can push these in any direction.
Gray Rocks : Rock Man cannot move these.
Red Rocks : Lava Rocks are DANGEROUS if Rock Man steps on them.
Pink Moths : Rock Man must collect all these before reaching
flag.
Pick Axe : Rock Man can use these to obliterate any green
rock, provided that he is not on a rope or ladder.
To use a Pick Axe, face in the direction of the
green rock and then push the letter <P>.
Rope : Rock Man can use these to help him climb higher.
He cannot use a Pick Axe or push any green rocks
while climbing on the rope. To use a Rope push the
letter <R>. The rope will rise above Rock Man
until it either hits an object or the top of the
game board.
Ladders : These rope ladders have been left by previous
climbers. He can use these to climb up or down.
He cannot use pick axes or ropes while on the
ladder. He can push green rocks while on ladder.
Bridges : These bridges will allow Rock Man to cross over
them only once. After he has passed over them, they
will crumble and disappear from the game board.
Smaller Green : These smaller green pebble rocks are unstable and
Pebble Rocks will crash down on Rock Man if he walks under
them. They will not fall on him if there is an
object between him and these pebble rocks...this
includes, moths, picks, and rocks.
Blue Flag : The Flag located on the game board will remain blue
until all the moths have been collected. Once all
the moths are gathered, it will then change to red.
Red Flag : This is Rock Man's final objective once all the
moths have been collected.
JUMPING
Rock Man will jump in the direction he is facing when you press
the <Up Arrow> key. If Rock Man is at the side of the game
board, he cannot jump up unless he is facing away from the edge
of the board.
DEMO PUZZLE
Pressing the <D>emo Key will start the Demo Puzzle. This will
take you through a practice puzzle one step at a time. This will
introduce you to the basic objects you'll encounter during game
play.
SOLUTIONS
The solutions to the first 3 puzzles are provided in the
Shareware version of Rock Man. Pressing <?> will show you the
