Description
Space Plumber is a puzzle game with a Sci-Fi theme. It was released in Spain in 1998. The game was developed and published by STRATOS, ASOCIACION DE DESARROLLADORES who have
released several other games of the same genre in the following years. Space Plumber runs on the DOS platform.
The game is set on a planet that is rich in Uranium and Thallium. A large corporation employs thousands of people to mine the Uranium and thallium so they could be used for
the development of the land. But there is a looming threat over this operation, the mines are susceptible to flooding. Once the water level starts to rise, all personnel has
been evacuated and operations are at a complete standstill. The player assumes the role of a lone wolf who is tasked with finding the valves inside the mines and turning them
in order to prevent the mines from getting submerged completely in water. To make the job easier, the player gets the estimate of the number of valves in each level, but it is
upon the player to find them within the time limit. Once the time limit is crossed, the mining station is fully submerged and there is no way to escape. Each level constitutes
a different mining station, with varied ranges of water levels. Some levels have very little water, while others might have a water level dangerously high. The player needs to
move more quickly at these levels to prevent getting trapped. The player gets a first-person perspective. The graphics are dark and dingy to provide a feel of an underground
mine and one can hear the sound of water sloshing throughout the game.
