Description
Spear Resurrection is an action and adventure game released in 2001. It is a sequel to Spear of Destiny, although it is a fan-made version and not an official sequel.
The game builds on into the plot of Spear of Destiny and introduces many new weapons, more dangerous enemy and a more sinister plot.
The player assumes the role of BJ Blaszkowitz, the original hero of the series who was instrumental in bringing down the Nazi army. He is now tasked with finding out what
actually happened to Adolf Hitler, as his mysterious disappearance after the war has invoked suspicion from all corners of the world. The game picks up after the first level
and becomes more challenging through the stages. The graphics are top-notch and very detailed to provide the macabre scene of a post-war landscape. Rotting bodies and
skeletons are a common sight. The player needs to shoot at wat remains of the Nazi army and find out the whereabout of Hitler. The player gets a first-person perspective
in the game. The shooting happens in various locations, sometimes inside high-security walls and on other times outside where there are different kinds of plants and thick
vegetation. Points are awarded for shooting enemies. The player also needs to maintain a sufficient supply of ammunition. Scores, ammunition and other details are all
displayed in the bottom of the screen. Apart from blowing up enemies, there are puzzles to solve on the way which can reveal the hideouts of Hitler. Enemies are of varied
types, but particularly dangerous are the suicide bombers who can blow themselves up anytime taking down Blaszkowitz with them. Each step not only brings him closer to the
Hitler, but also reveals the ultimate motive of Spear of Destiny and what happened to it after the war.
