Description
Splitterwelten, meaning shattered worlds in English, is an action video game that was released in Germany in 1997. It runs on the DOS platform. The game has a Sci-Fi theme.
Splitterwelten is based on a futuristic theme where a Solar system is under attack by aliens. The attack has left the solar system which originally had five planets completely
devastated. There are fragments of these planets floating around in the solar systems which are called Splinters. Some groups of humans have emerged who have divided themselves
into clans and want to take control of each of these splinters. One of these clans is controlled by the main protagonist of the game, whose role the player assumes while playing.
The goal is to destroy and eliminate all enemies from the splinter, keeping only the members of the clan. However, the task isn’t as easy as it sounds. The other clans fight
vigorously to take control of the splinter, as it is essential to their survival. Each enemy needs at least two people to be subdued and defeated. Apart from the protagonist,
there are several other important characters with extraordinary fighting skills who are very important to the outcome of the game. The player needs to control and utilize their
skills efficiently to win the levels. To add to the situation, the edges of the splinter tend to break away with time, thus creating a time limit for each level. The game has 50
levels in the single-player mode and 100 in the multiplayer mode. The player needs to win each level to progress to the next level in the game.
