Description
Stock Market: The Game is a strategy game that was released in 1990 in the United States. The game was developed by Starsoft Development Laboratories, Inc. and published by
ComputerEasy. It is available on DOS, Amiga, and Atari ST platforms.
As the name suggests, Stock Market: The Game is a simulation involving the major trends of the stock market. The player gets to invest in a portfolio of stocks, majorly in oil
and gas, automobiles, and aeronautical companies. The graphs of the previous performance of these stocks are available on the screen so the investor can make an informed choice.
Various upcoming economic trends are also displayed on the screen. To invest in these stocks, the player can take out loans, up to $5 million US Dollars.
The loan must be paid back with interest and within the stipulated time with the money that the player makes by investing in the stocks. Hence, it is important to make the right
choices that can provide the maximum returns. The player will lose the game if they are unable to pay back the loan with interest. Stock Market: The Game can provide educational
value to people who are new to the stock market and are looking to get a basic understanding of the workings of the stock exchange and market trends. The game teaches us the
importance of investing wisely and paying dividends on time. It can be played against another person or a computer-generated opponent. Stock Market: The Game is a significant
improvement over Black Monday, a similar game by the same developer.
