Description
Super Silverbrothers is an action platform game that was released in 1991 worldwide on the DOS platform.
It provides a side-view perspective, similar to Lode Runner and the Super Mario Bros. Super Silverbrothers is
also known as Super Silverbros.
The game is written by Ken Silverman, and the protagonist is named after him. In the game, the player assumes
the role of Ken, who has a little K printed on his T-shirt. The player needs to guide Ken in navigating the
maze-like environment by jumping over the obstacles while avoiding enemies falling from above. The background is
brown with purple platforms that Ken needs to jump over and cross the level. He can crush his enemies by jumping
on them. There are also other challenges in the game such as flames, which are represented in yellow. The player
needs to avoid coming in contact with the flames, failing which, the player will be transported back to the
starting point in the level. There are also some multi-colored square slabs, which also can send the player back
to the starting point if the player comes in contact with them. Apart from escaping his enemies, Ken must also
collect as many green gems as possible at each level for bonus points. The exit to the level is denoted by a Star,
which is usually at the right-hand top corner of the screen. The player needs to touch it in order to move on to the
next level. The player uses the mouse or the keyboard to control Ken. The graphics and the background music create
a pleasing effect. It also has very smooth scrolling.
