Description
Superfrog is an old jump and run 2D platform game.The game was developed in the year 1993 for Amiga by Team17. One year later the game was transported to MS-DOS.In this game, the player (referred here as ‘you’) is a frog.The enemies are also animals – such assnails, hedgehogs and bees. You destroy these by jumping on them.
There are 24 levels in this game, each sub-divided into 6 dissimilar worlds. Your aim is to accumulate a predetermined number of coins, and access the exit, which opens only if you have collected sufficient coins.
Each stage has a set time limit. You have to collect the coins and reach the exit surpassing all the hurdles, in this predetermined time period.
Your ultimate aim is to discover and defeat a witch, and thereby rescue a princess, while achieving minor objectives in the game, for examplelocating a gold key or fleeing from confinement in a circus.
At the end of each level, you are awarded up to a maximum of 15 credits based on the number of fruit and coins that you have collected, and also on how swiftlyyou havecompleted the level.
You can opt to either keep the credits or gamble them through a slot machine-typesub-game for additional bonuses. An important purpose of thissub-game is to offer you a chance to win a code, which enables you to resume the game from the start of the subsequent level in future.
An additional level between the 5thand 6th worlds is called Project-F.In this stage, the goal is to survive till the end. After all six worlds have been completed; the game of Superfrog ends with a trivial combat against the witch in the castle background.
