Tank Wars

Tank wars is an action and strategy game that was released in 1986 on the DOS platform. It is known to be one of the superior strategy games of its time.
In Tank Wars, there are two tanks, each on one side of the hill. The player controls one tank and the other one is controlled by the computer. The game can also be played by two players, each controlling one tank. The player shoots at the tank on the other side of the slope. In order to hit the enemy tank, the player needs to apply the right amount of force and shoot at the right angle.
The player can set the difficulty level and the speed at the start of the game. The game also lets the player choose the color mode of the game, the number of players, and provides a set of instructions that the player can choose to enable. The tanks can move forward and backward, and also jump to avoid getting shot by the enemy tank. There is also a hot air balloon hovering over the battlefield, dropping missiles, which can hinder the movement of the tanks and also bombard the hill lowering its height.
The player needs to shoot the enemy tank or the hot-air balloon before getting hit by the missiles or being immobilized by the bombing. Getting hit by either of the weapons ends the game. Apart from the hot-air balloon, there is a bird that appears occasionally in the sky, although it's unclear if the bird has any role in the game.
