Description
Tanke Da Juezhan, which translates to 'Battle of the Bulge', is a strategy and shooting game with a World War II theme.
It was developed and released by Taiwanese developers, T-Time Technology Co., Ltd. The game was released in 1993 on the DOS platform.
It is alternately known as Battle Europe.
The premise is World War II, and the player can choose to play on behalf of the Allies or the Axis powers. The objective is to destroy
all the enemy tanks while patrolling a maze-like terrain made of trees, army bunkers, houses, etc. The player needs to safeguard their
territory and themselves while destroying enemy tanks infiltrating the territory. Each level of the game takes place in a different
territory and the landscape changes accordingly. The Allies start from North Africa, while the Axis powers begin their advance from
Germany. A radar on the top right corner guides the player by showing the location of the enemy tanks. the player must be careful not
to take on two or more enemy tanks at the same time. They might also need to lure enemy tanks into their own territory at times to
annihilate them. Arrow keys are used to move the tanks in north, south, east, and west directions. Apart from destroying enemy tanks,
the player must also avoid mine-laying vehicles and air strikes. The player can also get power-ups by destroying enemy tanks.
To win, the player has to wipe out all the enemy tanks in the level and prevent the enemy forces from reaching the army base.
