Description
Tanks Destroyer is a war simulation game with a World War II theme. It was published and developed by Gamos limited. The game was
released in 1993 on the DOS platform.
To win the game, the player needs to repel attacks by the powerful Nazi tanks. The player is no less formidable and has at his disposal,
some of the most powerful weapons used by the Soviet army during World War II, including the 45-mm anti-tank gun M-42.
The player gets a first-view perspective and a three-dimensional view of the battlefield. The player needs to carefully aim at the enemy
tanks and firing points. He also needs to carefully control the gun, saving it from damage and allowing sufficient recharging time.
Cracks on the sight optics show a critical condition of the gun. The player is awarded points for annihilating enemy tanks and firing
points. The game moves to the next level when all the enemy units have been destroyed. The player gets access to a map to plan out his
route. On coming in contact with an enemy tank, 'Tiger' and 'Panther' being the most powerful among them, the player needs to act fast
and shoot before getting blown up. Tanks' Destroyer is visually attractive with bright colors representing the landscape.
Although low on complexity, it offers a good mix of action and detail. The difficulty level increases on each level. The ultimate
objective is to capture a bridge, which is the last level in the game, but the difficulty level rises considerably by then, making it
a very hard feat to achieve.
