Terra Probe

In terra probe, you control a red subterranean mining probe, whose sole aim in life is to seek out and acquire precious gems. You must manoever the probe around, digging channels within the rock and earth, collecting diamonds as you do so. As you excavate the diamonds, you will encounter the mining droids from rival companies (blue, green). If they see you, they will pursue you, and if they catch you, you die.
Within the caves, there are many rocks, which are held up by the earth. If the earth beneath them is excavated they drop into the space. Falling rocks, can be used to kill rival droids. When a rival droid is killed in this way, the pressure and heat turns the rocks nearby into gems. The boulders can be pushed around simply by moving into them.
Within the cave system, there are various mining implements scattered around. There are pressure crushers which are white and have a funnel into which boulders can fall. Out the other end of the crusher comes a gem.
There are timed explosives, which resemble a red circle with a grey cross overlaid. When touched, a countdown begins and an explosion follows. Any rocks/rival droids within the range of the explosion, are turned into gems.
Also, there is a laser device (green circle with rotating shield) which when touched, starts a countdown. When the countdown expires, a laser is emitted from the device and this can kill rival droids.
Finally there is a protective shield device (looks like a yellow mining droid), which gives you invulnerability for a short duration. Beware the expanding web creatures which inhabit the caves. Given space they will swell in size. Contact is lethal, although rocks can kill them. At the start of each new cave, you will be told how many diamonds you must collect before the level is complete.
When you have collected the required number of gems, the exit (purple and yellow swirling vortex) will open. Move into the vortex to progress to the next cave.
