Description
THE BERENSTAIN BEARS - LEARN ABOUT COUNTING is an educational game meant for kids. It was published by Softprime Inc. in 1991.
The game was developed by Britannica Software and runs on the DOS platform.
The game features the popular children's book characters, The Berenstain Bears, and was developed to teach pre-school and
elementary-grade kids about basic counting. The game progresses by counting the different objects shown on the screen. There are six
different setups in the game, and the player can choose to play any of them. The setups range from counting objects of different
geometrical figures on the screen, to counting objects in a graphical representation, to basic addition and subtraction.
For every correct answer, the Bear does a happy dance, while every wrong answer gets a sad face from the bear. Every question needs
to be answered correctly before moving on to the next question. The game has bright colors to make it visually attractive to children.
The difficulty level of the game is low, meant to keep a child engaged for a long time without parental supervision.
The controls are fairly easy, where the player can enter the correct answer through the keyboard. Arrow keys are used to move the Bear,
A key to move back into the main menu, and Enter key to select.
The Berenstain Bears - Learn About Counting is one among many Berenstain Bears games that were released through the 1990s.
There are a total of 22 games in the Berenstain Bears series, all having an educational theme.
