Walt Disney Computer Software, Inc. was established in 1988 as a subsidiary of Walt Disney Consumer Products, a division of The Walt Disney Company. Headed by Shelley Miles, it became the first Walt Disney entity to focus exclusively on the internal development and publishing of computer and video games. The operation was shut down in 1996 and reorganized as Disney Interactive.
The company was an early pioneer in the video gaming industry, porting many games from arcade to home console systems, and developing its own games as well. Two of Sculptured Software's first in-house games were Ninja and Street Surfer.

Description
THE OBJECT OF THE GAME is to help Tom Sawyer avoid Aunt Polly, Injun Joe and the bear,
as Tom collects each berry on ten levels of play. If you complete all ten levels,
Tom goes fishing --- lose, and he whitewashes Aunt Polly's fence.
To play:
- Use the right, left, up or down cursor keys.
- Avoid Aunt Polly, Injun Joe and the bear.
- As Tom passes over a berry, he picks it up. Collect all of the berries to score points and advance to the next level.
HINTS:
. Ride the raft across the river and earn 1000 extra points.
. Watch the cave at level 3 for the bear. If you are caught by the bear, you lose all points earned on that level.
. Starting on level 5, collect "hidden berries" to advance to number of hidden berries remaining.
. Hide safely in the cave at any time.
. To bypass the introductory graphics the next time you play, press K for keyboard.
