Description
The Crusade is an action and strategy game that was released in 1991 by Inland International. It is available both on AmigaOS and DOS.
The game is set in medieval times when a king and his entourage leave their castle for a while to go on a trip. Upon returning, they are
denied entry into their own castle by a royal guard, who demands the king present the Royal key. The king summons the Royal key holder,
who tries to retrieve the key from the Royal pouch, only to discover that the key has been lost. The guard denies entry to the King even
after much pleading, thus sending the King and his party on a quest to find the Royal key. The player takes control of the King and
leads the mission of finding the key. The game also features the Queen, a Knight, A Serf, An Archer, and a magic mirror.
The first few levels of the game are fairly simple, where the player needs to follow a map that will take him closer to the object he
seeks. The player must carefully avoid the hidden traps, explosives, and enemy guards while looking for the lost key.
The levels have a time limit of five minutes. Unlike most games, The Crusade does not take you automatically to the next level but
presents a code. The player needs to come back to the main menu, click on 'Go to next level', and enter the code to get to the next level.
