Description
The Power is a puzzle game created by Demonware Softwarehaus GmbH. The game was released in 1991 on the Amiga, DOS, and Commodore 64 platforms.
The protagonist in the game is a love-struck young man named Blob Max, who is trying to find his way back to his girlfriend Mimi.
Blob needs to reach her within the time limit and also collect all the hearts that are scattered throughout the level. The game takes place
inside a maze created by building blocks, and Mimi is always at a short distance from Blob. However, Blob can only move in one direction, and the
only way he can change his course is by coming in contact with a block. The blocks are of three colors and can be moved around, but there are
certain rules against putting together blocks of a certain color combination. Creating one such forbidden combination will cause them to vaporize,
making it difficult for Blob Max to reach his destination. The player takes control of Blob Max and helps him reach his girlfriend Mimi after
beating all the odds and in the stipulated time. The game provides a top-down perspective, and two modes, Tactic and Arcade.
There are no major differences in the two versions, except the screen resolution. The Power also has a password feature that a player can use to
secure his progress in the game. The player can use a keyboard, mouse, or Analog joystick to play the game. The main menu displays the game
settings on the left and the top scores on the right.
