Description
The Premiership is a European football management simulation developed by The Codemasters Software Company Limited. It was released in 1994.
The player plays the role of a team manager and is tasked with choosing their team and making all the important decisions to make the team win.
The player gets the option to play in the Super League or the normal league at the beginning of the game. The player can choose from existing
teams or create a team of their own by buying players. After making the choice, he is presented with a list of teams to choose from, wherein
they can choose any team from the English Premiere league. The player has at their disposal all the information regarding previous seasons' scores
and performances of each player to help with making an informed choice. The player also gets to decide the overall budget for his team, set and
change team tactics, Rearrange the team and formations and give the players pep talk to help them perform better. The Premiership is more about
team management and executive decisions, rather than the actual game of football. The input device in the game is the mouse, and the player gets
a top-view of the field.
The Premiership falls short in some respects from other games of the genre such as 'Championship manager', but is a decent game in its own right
with good graphics and a variety of team management options. The game provides the option of playing teams that might not be well known to many,
to the delight of football fans.
