Description
The Sorceror's Appraisal is an adventure game, with a Sci-Fi and futuristic theme, that was released in 2002, on the DOS platform.
The game is set in a fantasy universe. The main protagonist of the game is Davy Jones, an amateur teenage magician who is ready to
advance to the next level. His character is described as a little reclusive and bookish. He is dressed in a black suit and has long
blonde hair, that's tied in a ponytail. In order to prove to his parents that he is ready for advanced and powerful magic, Davy Jones
must travel to a Parallel universe, before returning home safely. The game starts in a room filled with books and has a blue couch and
a fireplace. To travel to an alternate universe, Davy Jones must perform a ritual. His magic notebook, with countless diagrams and
instructions, is an important inventory item. A bookmark marks Davy Jones' ritual of Transdimensional Transference.
The path to the alternate universe is through the Kitchen which transfers him into a secret cavern with exercises with magic.
From there, Davy Jones is transferred into another Universe through a wormhole and falls on a plateau with an animal on it. In the other
dimension, Jones is equipped with the power of levitating and other extraordinary characteristics. The road leads to a dark cavern that
can be lei up by magic. As he traverses through this strange land, he comes across strange creatures and animals and also collects weapons
and objects lying around. He needs to perform various tasks, solve puzzles and return home safely to win the game.
