Description
Wall$treet is a video game based on stock trading. It was released in 1989 in Germany and runs on the DOS platform. It is also available in Amiga and Commodore 64.
The game was developed by micro-partner Software GmbH.
Wall$treet is an educational game that gives valuable insights into stock and share trading. The game can be played by up to 4 players. The player assumes the role
of a wall street stock broker. The game starts by testing the player’s knowledge of stocks and shares and the basics of trading by asking a variety of questions.
Each correct answer gives the player some money to use during the game. Earning as much money as possible during this stage can be crucial to the outcome of the
game. As the game progresses, the player indulges in trading, which is buying and selling stocks to expand one’s portfolio and earn more profit.
Most of the game is based on speculation and instincts just like on Wallstreet. The player needs to be able to make decisions at the drop of a hat, depending on
the information about the latest trends in the stock market. These trends are available through radio telegram service and the stock journal.
The game runs for a limited amount of time and the player who manages to accumulate maximum profit during that time wins the game. Overall, Wall$treet can be
called a realistic and instructive game about money and rates, capable of keeping the player in suspense till the end.
