Description
Watman is an action video game released worldwide in 2000. Watman is a remake of Batman, a game based on the famous comic that was released in 1986.
Watman adds new challenges and colored graphics, making it far more exciting and fun to play. It runs on the DOS platform.
The protagonist in the game is Batman, the billionaire action hero who must save his girlfriend Robin from the clutches of an evil enemy whose identity
is revealed only towards the end. To succeed in the task, Batman must first gather all the necessary equipment from his Batcave which is infested with
dangerous creatures and has an extremely hostile environment. This high-tech equipment like the Batboots, Batbelt, and Badthruster are essential to his mission.
Other items such as a shield, spring boots, and neutralizer also come in handy. Once the equipment is collected, the next task is to find the parts of the
Batcraft from the Batacombs, which is a high-security building spread over 9 floors and 150 rooms. The Batacomb is also laden with booby traps, with several
puzzles to solve along the way. After the parts of the Batcraft are found and assembled, Batman sets out on his mission to rescue Robin.
The game has superior graphics with very high attention to detail. The developers spent over 10 months designing and recreating every aspect of the Batman series.
What could prove a little disappointing is the fact that action sequences are very few, as Batman spends a lot of time looking for his equipment.
However, it is still one of the best remakes of the Batman series.
