Description
Wayne's World is an adventure game with puzzle elements that was released in 1993. The game is based on a movie of the same name, released a year earlier.
It was developed by Robert Fiorini & Associates and runs on the DOS platform.
The protagonists in the game are two whacky characters, Wayne and Garth, who run a public-access TV show. They are both heavy metal fans, which is evident
in their fashion choices and lifestyle. When the show fails to generate money, Wayne and Garth decide to start a pizza delivery business to earn a few bucks.
But before that, they need to hire sufficient people and collect essential objects for their business. In order to do so, Wayne and Garth must go on several
adventures and solve a bunch of puzzles. These adventures include participating in a jeopardy parody called ‘Name that babe’, entering a pizza baking contest
and even joining a rider’s gang. The game is single-player and the player can play as Wayne or Garth. It is also possible to switch between the two characters
during the game. The soundtrack is made of segments taken from the movie. The game has 2D graphics and provides a 3rd-person perspective. It can be played with a
keyboard or mouse. There is the option to save one’s progress in the game to resume at a later time. Although not a very well-made game in terms of graphics, plot,
and difficulty level, the game has a cult following mostly comprising fans of the whacky but entertaining movie.
