Description
Wild Life is an action and adventure video game released in 1990. The game was published and developed by New-Deal Productions S.A. and is available on DOS, Amiga,
and Atari ST platforms.
The player assumes the role of a wildlife photographer and enthusiast in the game, who is tasked with clicking pictures of wild animals in their natural habitats.
The player needs to carefully focus their camera on the animal after scanning the entire landscape. The camera lens follows a crosshair on the screen which can move
from left to right before focusing on the animal. At each level, there are three animals that need to be captured on the lens. To click the picture, the player needs
to click the button on the mouse or joystick after focusing the cross-hair on the animal. The action needs to be completed very quickly as it’s very easy to lose
sight of the target in the lush landscape among heavy vegetation. The different levels are set in different locations of the world such as Australia, India, America,
and the Arctic. The player gets two sets of lenses, a 50 mm one and a telephoto lens specifically for smaller and far-off animals. There is also an extra hand that’s
available to the player to pick up any additional instruments. The player needs to frequently change the rolls of the camera, as it can run out very quickly.
Apart from these harmless objects, the player is also armed with a shotgun which they are allowed to use on poachers and hunters who plan on hurting the animals.
