Description
Window Wizard is an action and adventure video game developed and published by reLINE Software. The game was released in 1991 and is also known as Window Willy.
It is available on the Amiga and DOS platforms.
The player assumes the role of a window cleaner named Willy. This simple act of cleaning windows is more dangerous than it sounds as there are several threats
that could lead to potential death. Willy needs to clean windows in high-rise multi-storied houses while being suspended from the roof by a rope.
Apart from the risk of falling off, Willy must save himself from being hit by objects thrown out of the windows. Besides Death, there are several hindrances that
keep Willy from doing his job; inhabitants looking out of the windows are one of them. Willy can only clean closed windows, so the people need to be driven away
by using a special horn. Bird droppings are a particular form of nuisance, as the pigeons have a tendency to drop on recently cleaned windows. Willy needs to use
a special kind of cleaning solution on the window panes with bird droppings, however, he needs to be careful to not use the same on the regular windows as they might
get damaged. Points are awarded for each window cleaned successfully which is displayed at the bottom of the screen. The number of lives left is also displayed in a
bar at the bottom. The player gets 3 lives at each level. There is also a bonus level where willy needs to catch people randomly falling from the sky.
The game becomes more challenging at the advanced levels with more obstacles.
